Support for HamCap
Geoff Anderson G3NPA
General
Logger32 will support the propagation prediction software HamCap. Copies of this freeware application can be obtained from http://www.dxatlas.com/HamCap/.
Download the files HamCap.zip and itshfbc.exe and install them using the instructions provided. At this point, HamCap should run in stand-alone mode.
When used with Logger32, there are a number of preferred default options that should be set from the HamCap menu item "Setup | HamCap".

SFH_1
Set your preferences and click "Apply".
You can call up HamCap at any time by simply clicking on the HamCap icon.

SFH_2
If you are running a CAT interface and have entered a callsign into the Logbook Entry window, then HamCap will receive the time, band, call and your location information and it will display according to the options set.

SFH_3
Note: There are a few additional parameters needed in HamCap that cannot be passed from Logger32, RF power, long or short path and your antenna arrangement. Setting these in HamCap will produce more accurate results.
Set the desired path and transmit power on the "Params" page,

SFH_4
and the antenna information on the "Ant" page.

SFH_5
In addition, if you also have the DX Atlas and IonoProbe software, these can be activated on the "Settings" page.
